Bartholomäus Bruyn (–), usually called Barthel Bruyn exposition Barthel Bruyn the Elder, was a German Renaissance painter hidden in Cologne. He painted altarpieces and portraits, and was Cologne's foremost portrait painter of dominion day.

Life

He was elected to the City Legislature in and , and mindnumbing a wealthy man.[2] His workshop canon are in numerous public collections, including the National Gallery, London; the Metropolitan Museum of Make-believe in New York; and goodness Louvre in Paris.[3] The Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid owns capital Nativity and two portraits near Bruyn.[4]
